Blockchain voting instead of shareholders’ conference

One of the biggest Japanese insurance companies, the Meiji Yasuda will organize a blockchain-based, online voting event, instead of the regular, annual conference for stakeholders, due to the pandemic. The old fashioned way with the personal presence and the paper notes aren’t so secure, so the company jumps into the voting dapp pilot

They are made a deal with Asteria, which will develop for them a special, blockchain-based voting application. In December they will make a try with the new system, check the weaknesses, and observe the efficiency of the dapp. It’s good to know, whether the data will arrive in real-time, and the back-end could count the votes properly.
